The Ultralight Butterfly Split is an ultralight split with a compact shape that's made for high alpine pursuits where the balance of weight and performance are hyper critical.
By drastically reducing the tip and tail size, but keeping the contact points pushed out, the Butterfly Split has the effective edge of a board 10 cm longer than its length. The long effective edge is matched with a true camber profile for maximum edge power in variable alpine conditions.
Because the Butterfly has such a long effective edge it can be ridden 4-6 cm shorter than your typical freeride board. Lighter, smaller riders will definitely want the 150cm. If you normally ride a 156-160 split, go for the 154 cm. If you ride a 159-163 cm split, go for the 158 cm.
Riders with big feet should note, however, that the 158 cm only has a 25.9 cm waist width and is not a Big Horn series model.
